Ashery

Ashtray/Incense burner made from bloodwood. This is my first woodcarving in a very, very, very long time so of course it still looks very rough. This was way too dense for my hand tools, so i used a dremel and a power drill for the whole thing. I used black india ink and gold leaf for the design coloration, and a polyurethane gloss to protect the wood. took about.....8 hours total i'd say.
